A member of mint family, Hyssop essential oil was considered a sacred oil in ancient Greece, Egypt, and Israel. Hyssop oil has a slightly sweet aroma that creates a calming environment. It is steam distilled from deep, beautiful purple flowers of the Hyssopus officinalis plant growing wild in the rocky hillsides of Spain.
